Hello Everyone,

Well, my hiatus continues and to tell you the truth, I’m getting alittle bored.  The Olympics are over and congratulations to all the USA medal winners.  Now what?  Oh, the Democrats are gathering in Denver, Colorado this week.  Bet that makes for one giant size headache for drivers in that city.  I understand that security is so tight around the convention site that even the media is having problems getting in to cover it…but they’re getting in!  I guess there isn’t any other news going on since every news channel is giving us gavel to gavel coverage and even after the closing gavel each day, every channel has to give us these expert analysis of every word that was spoken (like we’re all stupid or uneducated).

A word of advice to the main stream media, stop treating viewers like we’re all abunch of idiots.  Stop talking down to the American people and start giving us the information we need to make an intelligent decision in November.  I only hope that you give the Republicans the same coverage as you have the Democrats.

On to other news (since we can’t get it from the network news channels, thought I would pass some along).  Russia is still trying to take over the country of Georgia…President Bush is on vacation in Texas…The stock market is in disaray…Gas and Diesel prices have stabilized (until the next Hurricane comes into the Gulf of Mexico)…Congress is still on vacation…and the weather for Denver, Colorado is calling for alot of Hot air to continue blowing for the rest of the week.  See network news channels, I gave the important news in less than a minute!

Hello Everyone,

After a relaxing(?) few days off for vacation, it’s back to the grindstone again.  What’s happened during my stay-cation, let’s see…gasoline and diesel prices are still up…food prices are continuing to rise…the housing and mortgage crisis continues…Obama and McCain are still slamming each other and not coming up with any reasonable plans to change the way the economy is going…so in other words not one dang thing has changed with maybe the exception of things are getting worse!

President Bush went overseas…at taxpayers expense (of course)…Congress went on a week vacation for the 4th of July…at taxpayers expense…but alot of hard working American families enjoyed a stay-cation at our own expense.  Now, don’t get me wrong, the members of Congress should have a vacation…but I want to know when does Congress WORK to get a vacation?  It won’t be long before Congress will recess for their summer vacation!  May I suggest to the good members of Congress, DO SOMETHING TO HELP THE WORKING PEOPLE OF AMERICA BEFORE YOU GO BACK ON VACATION!

I don’t know about you, but I’m disgusted with Congress, President Bush, Obama AND McCain.  If they’re not blowing hot air about something they’re slamming each other and in the meantime, Americans are losing their jobs, homes, savings just to mention a few. 

So, my vacation (stay-cation) is over and perhaps yours is too…NOW WHAT?

Hello Everyone,

Well, here we go again!  It seems that Don Imus stirred up the Rev. Al Sharpton…but really, when isn’t Rev. Al stirred up about something?  Imus made a comment during his show yesterday regarding a football player.  And because this football player is a African-American everybody from Rev. Al to the NAACP is upset.  I’m not getting into what Imus said.  He clearified his statement on his radio show today.  What I’m upset about is this continuous crusade by Rev. Al and his ‘buddies’ to be after Imus and anybody else who speaks on the radio or television.

Now, let me say this right now, I am all for  equal rights for everyone.  I am against anyone downgrading another person because of race, religion, national origin or whether they are a man or a woman.  My heavens, this is 2008!  Haven’t we got past all that by now?

All that I’m questioning regarding Rev. Al is who died and left him in charge?  When did Rev. Al become the policeman of the airwaves?  Rev. Al got Imus fired from his last job even after Imus apologized several times on the air and to the offended parties.  That wasn’t enough for Rev. Al.  But, let the good reverend say something wrong, ALL is forgiven after a half-hearted apology from him.  Well,  I for one, believe Imus and his explanation of his comment, now let’s move on!

And speaking of moving on, it’s now general election mode for Obama and McCain and we still can’t hear how these two intelligent men stand on the important issues because of the main stream media focusing on race and age.  I really don’t care about how old a candidate is or what race he is…I want to know what he is going to do to protect America from attack, what he is going to do to bring down energy costs, what he is going to do about our broken borders, what he is going to do about taking care of Senior Citizens and children and about social security (and these are only a few of the subjects)  if he is elected President.  Let’s get past the crap, and get on with the issues.

Hello everyone,

I’m not going to beat around the bush…ENOUGH ALREADY!  My gosh…the prices of gasoline/diesel are completely out of control!  And when fuel prices are out of control, then the prices of everything else is too!  Well, Congress to the rescue…sort of.  This week, Big Oil was before a congressional hearing and the top Oil Executives were grilled…sort of.  These idiots sat before members of congress and claimed the didn’t know how much they made in salaries and bonuses and perks.  CRAP!  They knew, but they didn’t want the IRS to know!  Some of these CEO’s guessed at 2 or 3 million dollars when in fact, they are recieving 12 to 16 Million dollars and they damn well knew it when they LIED  to the congressional committee!  Now, if that had been me or you, we would have been charged with perjury and jailed!

When a bunch of JERKS can sit and open faced lie to congress that tells me (and it should you too) that America is in a world of hurt right now!  And, what’s the current adminstration doing about this crisis of highway robbery everytime us hard working men and women go to the gas pump…so far NOTHING!  Oh, President Bush went to Saudi Arabia and asked for more oil to be sent here…we got an increase of squat! 

Where’s the presidential candidates on this issue?  They don’t know because they’re too busy bashing each other and as I’ve said before, I haven’t seen Hillary or Obama or McCain at a gas station pumping their big vehicles full of fuel!  They all say they understand the pain Americans are feeling.  Sorry folks, until you pay anywhere between $50.00 to $100.00 for a tank of gas, and pay an average 10 to 20% more for your grocery items and get paid $6.00 to say $20.00 and hour and see nothing going into the bank for savings, you ain’t feeling the pain!

And just one more thing…President George W. Bush…you ARE still the President of the United States of America…STOP ACTING LIKE YOU ARE ALREADY OUT OF OFFICE!  Do something for the American people before the economy completely falls apart!

When I do my radio show and see prices jump in gasoline and diesel in less than an hour, something is WRONG!  That’s what happened on Wednesday night’s show.  From 1:20am to 2:10am I saw price averages in diesel jump dramatically. 

So, with all this off my chest now, I guess I’ll go to the barn and feed ol’ Nellie…may need to start riding her to work!

Hello Everyone,

If you haven’t already, better get ready to tighten up your belts!  Gasoline/Diesel prices keep going up and that means everything else we need and use keep going up!  And what is the current administration in Washington doing to help us working Americans?  NOTHING!  It’s like they’re intent on keeping money flowing to Iraq and we’re paying for it.

Now, I’m all for keeping our brave fighting men and women supplied with the very best, but when will they be coming home?  And once they do come home, what are they coming home to?  The adminstration has woefully neglected these brave Americans with barracks that are run down and these brave military men and women deserve and expect the benefits they are entitled to such as education and medical.  Where in the heck has our tax money been spent on?

I don’t know about you, but I thought a percentage of my and your tax money was supposed to be set aside to provide these and many other benefits for our military personel but instead the families of these military men and women have to buy supplies and items for their loved ones overseas?  This is unacceptable!  I hereby call for a congressional hearing to look into these matters!  (Oh, wait a minute, I’m not a member of congress…and what am I thinking…Congress isn’t going to do a darn thing anyway!)

Enough is enough!  While we’re paying out the nose for gas/diesel and everything else, congress and the administration goes right on doing what they want to do.  We need to educate ourselves in regards to what the presidential candidates stand for. 

So, as we continue to wait for the general election in November, lets educate ourselves, and before we loose our pants, we better tighten up our belts!

Hello everyone,

It’s been about a month since I blogged…I’ve been suffering from gasoline shock!  What in the world is going on!?  Big Oil is sticking it to the working people of America again and guess what…they’re going to get away with it AGAIN!

At a time when Big Oil is announcing huge profits and us working folks are starting to get our tiny Economic Stimulus checks, what happens?  Everything we need sees a sudden price increase!

Now, I don’t have any proof of what I’m about to say, but I would guess that the ink wasn’t dry on the Economic Stimulus bill President Bush signed, when everybody from Big Oil to Wall Street insiders were trying to figure out how THEY were going to get OUR Economic Stimulus checks!

Come on people, can’t us working folks get ahead…alittle?  When it costs an average American anywhere from $50.00 to $100.00 a month more to fill up their vehicles with gasoline and many Independent Truckers are parking their rigs because they can’t afford diesel, there is something tragic going on in America.

Oh, Hillary says if she becomes president she’ll call for an investigation into Big Oil…sorry Hillary, it’s been done before and nothing happened.  Obama just doesn’t get the problem at all…after all neither of them has been spotted filling up their vehicles with self-serve.  And John McCain did come up with a plan to give the American people a fuel tax holiday from Memorial Day to Labor Day, but it ain’t going to happen.  (Hillary copied McCain’s suggestion but wanted Big Oil to pay the fuel tax from their profits…what world did she wake up in that day?)

Folks, America is in a dire economic time but we will come out of it.  After all, we always have in the past.  But don’t look for $2.80 a gallon gas prices again!  Big Oil is shooting for $4.00 a gallon as a BASE price and guess what…..they’re going to get it and we’re going to get stuck with it!

Wow!  What a week it’s been!  We started our podcasting on this website Monday April 1st and already it’s been a success.  I’ve recieved numerous emails about the podcast and it’s been downloaded over 30 times!  Many thanks to all of you who’ve checked the podcast out and for those of you who haven’t I invite you to do so in the picture gallery.  Just click on the podcast link and give a listen.

We also found out that this website and the radio show was mentioned honorably at the Mid-American Trucking Show in Louisville, Ky. and we thank the folks there for that.

Hello Everyone,

Man oh Man it’s getting UGLY!  The democrats are really going at each other.  I don’t know about you, but are Hillary and Obama talking about the topics close to us, working Americans, or are they too busy bashing each other?

I’ve been listening as closely as I can, and so help me, I haven’t really heard any hardcore solutions to the problems of high gasoline/diesel prices, high grocery prices, the mortgage meltdown, the economy in general, homeland security, outsourcing of American jobs, Border Security, etc.

All I’ve been able to catch is about Obama’s former pastor and Hillary’s apparent memory loss regarding a visit to a war zone in the 90’s.  To tell you the truth, I’m fed up with it all!  Get to the main topics and forget this other stuff!

John McCain meanwhile, has been talking about the war effort, homeland security and foreign affairs.  Though, alittle weak on solutions on the economy, McCain is talking topics and staying away from the bickering.

Since CNN’s Lou Dobbs isn’t running for president, I guess I’ll keep listening to what McCain has to say and leave the bickering democrats alone for awhile.  (IF Lou Dobbs had been running, I WOULD be listening closer to what he had to say!)
